Rapigen Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, to promote technology development and facilitate economic exchange in the health industry.
Montgomery County is home to key bioscience government agencies, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), along with over 300 advanced bio-research institutions and bio-venture companies.
Through this agreement, Montgomery County will collaborate with Rapigen by sharing information on bio companies and their infrastructure within the county by promoting the growth of health industry companies through support for R&D, technology transfer, and regulatory approval.
At the signing ceremony, Park Jae-ku, CEO of Rapigen Inc., said, "The business agreement with Montgomery County, which is home to U.S. federal agencies related to the health industry such as the FDA and NIH, as well as numerous bio-venture companies, is significant as it provides a foothold for Korean health industry companies to enter the U.S. market. We hope Montgomery County will achieve remarkable growth in the U.S. through the smooth influx and strategic placement of diverse and competitive health industry companies.
