BIOCREDIT PSA
One Step Prostate-specific Antigen Test
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is an intracellular glycoprotein generated specifically in the prostate gland. The general concentration of PSA in healthy adults is 0.1~2.6ng/ml in the serum. However, the level of PSA can be elevated in the case of prostate diseases such as benign hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), malignant prostatic tissue, and metastatic prostatic carcinoma. Thus, it is suggested that the abnormally high level of PSA in serum is the adaptable biomarker in the diagnosis of prostate tumors.
